Guide to Writing a Basic Essay
An essay can have many purposes, but the basic structure is the same no matter what. You may be writing an essay to argue for a particular point of view or to explain the steps necessary to complete a task.
Either way, your essay will have the same basic format. If you follow a few simple steps, you will find that the essay almost writes itself. You will be responsible only for supplying ideas, which are the important part of the essay anyway.

A GREAT site - lots of links. Choose your path - one path for grades K-5, one for grades 6-8. Once you choose your path, there are links to help with math, science, social studies, government site, health and fitness sites and more.
Great site if you're looking for information about animals, science and reference. It also has a great window into the World Factbook, with info on all the countries of the world, including maps, pictures of flags, statistics, and info on each country's history, land, people government and money system.
An internet search engine just for kids. When you get to it, make sure to check out the links to "Schoolhouse" and to "Answers". You'll find a ton of information that will help you with your homework. The Answers section is pretty cool - it has a lot of real questions, and then gives short and accurate answers. There's a section with images, too.
