Plainwell Community Schools is served by three elementary schools (grades K-5), one middle school (grades 6-8), one high school (grades 9-12) and one alternative education high school (grades 9-12). Starr Elementary, Plainwell Middle School and Plainwell High School are located on the district’s Starr Road Campus, and Cooper Elementary, Gilkey Elementary and Renaissance High School are located at other points within the district. Plainwell’s Early Childhood Center and Hicks Gymnasium complete the roster of district school buildings.

Play n Well Players is a community-based theater group and affiliate of the Plainwell Arts Council, a non-profit organization that strives to cultivate the artisitic talent of individuals in the Plainwell area.
Performances take place in the Plainwell Community Center's new performance space at 798 E. Bridge, which was created by the generous support from donations.
Performances will occur regularly throughout the season.
